| Septembre 22nd, 2003 ASME-DETC/ VIB 2005: 2nd symposium on Fractional Derivatives and Their Applications According to the organisers of the ASME-DETC 2003 conference (Chicago, September 2-6 th 2003) the 1st symposium on Fractional Derivatives and Their Application was a success (7 sessions scheduled and most of the papers were presented). Organizer of the ASME-DETC 2005 conference (Long Beach, California, USA, September 25-28 th, 2005) has thus planed a second edition of this Symposium. This symposium will organized by Pr. MM. Om Prakash Agrawal (Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois), Pr. J. A. Tenreiro Machado (Institute of Engineering of Porto, Portugal) and Dr. J. Sabatier. More information on this conference will be soon available. Deadline for the draft submission is January 15th, 2005. | September 19th, 2003 ENOC 05 : Fractional Derivatives and Their Applications mini-symposium ENOC 05 is the fifth EUROMECH Nonlinear Dynamics conference. Besides general lectures which will be delivered in different sub-fields of Nonlinear Dynamics, organizers of this conference have invited a substantial number of Mini-Symposia on major and challenging topics, one of which (Mini-symposium #11) is about Fractional Derivatives and Their Applications. | September 10th, 2003 Working group "Fractional systems and their applications" : 5th meeting Given the organization by Jean-Paul BOURRIERES in Bordeaux on October 16th and 17th, 2003 of STP meetings (Sciences and Techniques of the Production of goods and services) in the context of the GDR MACS (Modelling, Analysis and Control of the dynamic systems), it appeared us appropriate, in order to create a meeting opportunity for Automaticians and Producticians, to organize in Bordeaux the next meetings of the working group, meetings initially scheduled in Tarbes at the same dates and organized by Frédéric ROTELLA. We thank Frédéric ROTELLA to have joined to this idea and to have accepted to organize in Tarbes the next meetings usually scheduled in March. Meetings of October 16th and 17th will be held at the ENSEIRB and will start on October 16th at 2 PM and will be closed on October 17th at 4 PM. | September 11th, 2002 CDC 2002 - Tutorial Workshop "Fractional Calculus Applications in Automatic Control and Robotics" MM. Blas M. Vinagre Jara (University of Extremadura, Spain) and YangQuan Chen (Utah State University, USA) are the organizers of this Tutorial Workshop which will take place on december 9th within the context of CDC 2002 at Las Vegas, Nevada (December, 10-13). This Workshop is also an opportunity to gather the international community interested in fractional systems. | March 29th, 2002 CIFA 2002 Thanks to the contacts created by the first meeting of the working group, an invited session entitled "Application de la dérivation fractionnaire en modélisation, identification et commande" (Fractional differentiation applications in modeling, identification and control) was proposed to the next CIFA conference (CIFA 2002). 8 papers on the 9 proposed are now accepted. Thank again to the colleagues who have accepted to participate to this session. We are looking forward to meet you in Nantes on July 8th to10th.
