Bordeaux, France is shaped like a half-moon on the banks of the Garonne River, close to vineyard and ocean, and is unique with its historic neighborhoods and 18th century facades along the waterfront, a reminder of an ancient merchant tradition. 
 
 

In Old Town Bordeaux, you will be treated to famous sights like the Grand Theatre and Opera House built by Victor Louis in 1780, the “Monument des Girondins”, the “Place de la Bourse” and the “Place des Quinconces” among other famous churches and buildings.

Surrounding the city are some amazing sights to visit like the Medieval Town of Saint Emilion, castles in the Medoc region, as well as the Bay of Arcachon on the Atlantic Ocean 45 minutes away by car. Bordeaux’s flavor enhances every visitors taste.
 

Bordeaux is well-known as "the wine capital of the world" with 54 “appellations d'origine controlée” (wine regions) and nearly 10,000 wine chateaux located in and around this historical city of rich culture and superb French cuisine.
